My Name is Sahara, Strange name? Yes and definitely a strange character or so my friends say….

I have felt compelled to create this blog to voice my concerns about the way in which B12 is managed in the UK. I have every suspicion that my condition pernicious anaemia was misdiagnosed and untreated from the age of 11, finally being noticed at the age of 33.

I hope by writing this blog it will not just bring comfort, but also courage to all those people blissfully unaware that they have a condition that if not treated early could lead them into rough waters. The medical profession is undereducated and misinformed. We as patients need to help them understand, and too do this we need to understand ourselves.
